Higuera de la Sierra
We spent the first two days of our recent Extremadura trip nestled just outside of tiny Higuera de la Sierra, in the middle of Andalusia’s Sierra de Aracena and Picos de Aroche Nature Reserve. Our accomandations at Las Tobas were superb, and the tours of Jamon Eiriz and the Cave of Marvels in Aracena were both truly memorable. However, what we want to go back for is more time to wander through the countryside itself. There is just something about old stone walls that take ahold of your heart, or is that just me?
